While this Star Wars star may be having a hard time finding love, John Boyega has certainly had his fair share of partners in the past. He is also fortunate to have a handful of female pals. After making headlines for stating that he only dates black women, many might have been left wondering about the women John Boyega dated in the past.

Unfortunately, the star hasn’t really been public about his past relationships. But according to him, she broke up with him shortly after learning that he was a major Star Wars actor.

Letitia rose to fame by playing Shuri in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Black Panther(2018). John and the talented female star worked together in the movie Small Axe. In 2018, they were seen coming together at the Met Gala. This is probably what sparked rumours that the two were dating.

However, the truth is that John and Letitia Wright are really good friends and have been for over a decade. The two also studied together at London’s Identity School of Acting. Their friendship is ongoing, and the rumours seem to have been cleared, especially after John mentioned his dating preferences.

Though this one really doesn’t fall under the romantic relationship radar, the two co-stars were rumoured to be dating at some point. It’s difficult to understand how netizens came up with this one. While the two were clearly friends, there isn’t much to suggest that they dated. But well, the rumours are there.

In 2018, “The Last Jedi” star Kelly Marie Tran left Instagram. This happened after she was reportedly bullied by fans who seemed not to like her character. Later, John unintentionally made a remark about being weak in a tweet about online abuse. He, however, apologized and clarified what he meant.

Later, Boyega took to his account and clarified one thing. He posted, letting fans know that even if they’ve paid for tickets to see his movies, harassing the stars in them is still not an option.

Perhaps this further fueled rumours that the two had hooked up at some point.

Most of John Boyega’s romantic associations seem to have been with co-stars. In 2016, he was again hitched by netizens with Daisy Ridley, another Star Wars co-star. After posting a picture with Daisy, a fan wrong that the two looked good together and that they should date. John responded by saying Daisy was his sister. An engaged sister. Apart from that, he also hinted that his preference was more…..erm…brown, which brought the story to an end.

The three above stories are totally based on rumours. As mentioned before, the only time John spoke publicly about his love life was in 2017, when he talked about how he broke up with the then-love of his life after telling her he was a Star Wars actor.

At the moment, the British actor appears to be single. However, in a recent interview, he mentioned that he prefers dating black women. He also talked about how his girlfriend should respect his Christian beliefs. According to him, he views his parents as his idol couple. As such, their system is what he wants to follow.

The latest John Boyega rumour involves South African actor Thuso Mbedu. The two were cast in The Woman King movie. While work obviously has them featured in magazines, snaps, and other copies together, their body language suggests something more. The two have taken more pictures together than with anyone else.
