“She Should Just Apply For Job At Shoprite,” Mzansi Reacts As Minnie Dlamini Skincare R10 Million Company Goes Out Of Business

The saying when it rains it pours seems to be coming true for South African media personality and businesswoman Minnie Dlamini.

It looks like things are beginning to look a bit gloomy for the media personality as her skincare range MD has been pulled off the shelves.

Minnie Dlamini’s  R10 million company Modi Dlamini Marketing and skincare range of products MD by Minnie Dlamini is said to have gone out of business after hitting the shelves in 2019.

According to City Press, MD by Minnie Dlamini had outstanding annual tax returns for the third time since it was registered in 2016.

The publication further states that Minnie Dlamini’s company has since been deregistration due to noncompliance with SARS regulations.

The news about Minnie Dlamini Skincare company going out of business has since sparked mixed reactions on social media. While some mocked her saying she should just get a job at Shoprite, some accused her of failing to market her brand.

Check out some of the reactions;

I think @MinnieDlamini needs to be humble and apply for a job at Shoprite as a shelf cleaner. No one will laugh at her. We are all trying to hustle in South Africa.

This fake lifestyle, leads to unnecessary debts

I’m really curious about her business plan. What did she sell to the IDC? How did she manage all the requirements they ask from businesses. She had no experience or even a pilot, how did this happen? R10 million… Was it run-on vibes & blessings?

That is terrible.  I love her but her Marketing team sucks, many people hardly knew about these products. I bought the body wash (Rose Quartz) back in 2019 it smelled amazing, but these products were never marketed it almost like she never owned this line.

Meanwhile, this comes a couple of weeks after DStv channel Mzansi Magic shut down Minnie Dlamini’s sports and entertainment show, Homeground. The show, which was hosted by Minnie and actor and television personality Lungile Radu for the past four years, aired its final episode on Monday, 12 September 2022.

Recently, she launched her own luxurious Lounge and rooftop bar called The Mansion. However, it later turned out she doesn’t own the luxurious spot instead she is being used as a front.
